George Burchett
Born in 1872 in England, George Burchett is also known as ‘King of Tattooists’. He earned this title on account of his dedication to tattoo artwork. He started his tattoo journey at a very young age and had opted it as a career in 1900. He had made tattoos for various prominent figures of that era including artists, kings, sailors and travelers eg; Horace Ridler, King Alfonso XIII of Spain and King Frederik IX of Denmark. He had established his tattoo parlor at Waterloo Road in London. His tattoo work included various designs categories like animals, portrays, nature, Japanese and African motifs etc. Probably he was the first in the history who started using a pencil like machine for tattooing. He died in 1953 and is considered as the most famous old tattoo artist.

Keith Scott McCurdy is one of the most famous tattoo artists of this era. Born in 1985 aka ‘Bang Bang’ is a popular American tattoo artist. He made tattoos for celebrities like Rihanna, Cara Delevingne, Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, LeBron James, Adele, Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez and Kylie Jenner. A popular multitalented American lady with her unique style of tattooing. She made a new record in The Guinness Book by making largest number of tattoos in a day. Vyvyn Lazonga
Madame Lazonga formerly known as Vyvyn Lazonga has begun her career around 1972 and had remained a popular tattoo artist in tattooing industry for more than 30 years. Her teacher named C.J. Danny Danzl was a sailor during WWII. It was the time when no woman was supposed to be associated with tattoo industry. She set a foundation for woman aspiring to opt tattooing as a career. In Europe, she has also set various new trends in this art including large-scale full-body tattoos.
Sailor Jerry
Original name is Norman Keith Collins born in 1911 and died in 1973. His name Sailor Jerry is due to his work for sailor tattoos. He also contributed in tattooing with his numerous inventions and modern methods like color pigments, needles etc. He had also introduced more scientific methods of disinfecting equipment in tattooing industry like use of autoclave. Each year, Sailor Jerry Festival is celebrated in Hawaii to remember his contributions. His famous work include bottles of booze, Snakes, Wildcats etc
Silvano Fiato
Born in 1981 , he started his journey of art at a very young age with paper and pencils. He continued his passion of drawing and start using skin as canvas instead of paper. After tremendous hard work, he and his group was being awarded the title of Contemporary Artist by the MACRO Museum in Rome in 2018.
Myra Brodsky
A German tattoo artist started her tattooing career in 2008. Her work was inspired from art history like classicism, Art Nouveau and Baroque art movements. Her first tattoo shop ‘The Decay Parlour’ was founded in Berlin. Her work has been appreciated and presented on various platforms including Forbes, InkMag, Deutsche Welle and VICE Germany etc.
Vincent Castiglia
A modern American tattoo artist and painter born in 1982 in Brooklyn, New York. His famous work is Stings of the Lash, Remedy for the Living and As Gods has already published/presented on various platforms.
